About the role
TalentEx Employment Group is looking for an Automotive Service Manager to lead the service operation in Malvern, VIC. This is a full-time, on-site role for an experienced automotive professional who can look after both the team and the customer.
About the role
As Service Manager, you will be responsible for how the service department runs from day to day. You will keep work flowing through the workshop, support your team and make sure customers are looked after from booking to handover.
- Lead, coach and roster the service advisers, technicians and support staff
- Manage workshop scheduling and workflow so jobs are completed on time
- Oversee customer communication, quotes, complaints and follow-up
- Monitor service revenue, labour efficiency and department performance against targets
- Make sure warranty claims, documentation and workshop processes are accurate and compliant
- Maintain workshop safety standards and a tidy, well-run work environment
- Work with other departments to support the wider business

What you'll need
- Proven experience as a Service Manager or senior service role in an automotive workshop or dealership
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Sound knowledge of workshop processes, scheduling and warranty administration
- Confident with dealer management or workshop software and reporting
- Current driver's licence
- Full working rights in Australia — no visa sponsorship offered
