About the role
TalentEx Employment Group, an automotive recruitment business, is looking for a full-time Automotive Service Advisor to join an on-site team in Coffs Harbour. This is a customer-facing role for someone who enjoys keeping people informed and keeping a busy workshop running smoothly.
About the role
As Service Advisor, you will be the main point of contact between customers and the workshop, from the first booking through to vehicle handover. You will explain work clearly, set realistic expectations and make sure nothing falls through the gaps.
- Greet customers and take bookings for servicing and repairs
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately record vehicle details and job requests
- Explain recommended work, quotes and timeframes in plain language
- Liaise with technicians and parts staff to keep jobs moving
- Update customers on progress and get approval for any additional work
- Prepare invoices, take payment and hand vehicles back to customers
- Follow up after service to make sure customers are happy

What you'll need
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a customer-facing automotive role
- Clear, confident communication with customers and technical staff
- Good organisation and the ability to manage multiple jobs at once
- Basic computer skills and comfort learning workshop or dealership management software
- Sound understanding of vehicle servicing and repairs
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Full working rights in Australia — no visa sponsorship offered
